Who we are

POWTREK is a New Zealand endurance nutrition brand, currently pre-launch. If you want to talk to a person about anything on this page, email alastair@powtrek.co.nz.

What we collect, and why

Only what you type into the test panel application. That is your name, email, optionally your phone number, your postal address, an age band, and your answers about your sport, the products you use now, what you spend, and any dietary requirements.

We use it for three things and nothing else: to decide who goes on the test panel, to post prototypes to the people selected, and to make sense of the results afterwards. Dietary answers exist so we do not send someone food that will make them ill.

Where it is held

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, on servers outside New Zealand. Saying so plainly is a requirement rather than a courtesy: sending personal information overseas is governed by principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020. We may also copy your answers into our own spreadsheets and email to work through them.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell it, we do not share it with other companies, and we do not use it for advertising. If you tell us we can quote you, we will use your first name and your sport, never your address or contact details, and we will not do that unless you have ticked the box saying we can.

How long we keep it

If you are not selected, we delete your application within three months of closing the panel. If you are selected, we keep your details for as long as you are testing and for two years afterwards, so the results stay interpretable, then we delete them.

Getting a copy, or getting it deleted

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email alastair@powtrek.co.nz and we will sort it inside 20 working days, which is the limit the Privacy Act sets. You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not count against a live application.

Complaints

If we handle your information badly, tell us first and we will try to fix it. If that gets you nowhere, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing to opt out of. Fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.
