POWTREK is a New Zealand endurance nutrition company based in Christchurch, New Zealand. If you want to talk to a person about anything on this page, email alastair@powtrek.co.nz.

Only what you type into a form on this site. There are four.

Reservations: your name, email, region, which bags you want, and anything you add in the notes. Used to fulfil the reservation and to send you one email when your order is packed.

Contact: your name, email and message. Used to reply to you.

Field notes by email: your email address. Used to send you the occasional note, and nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.

Test panel: your name, email, optionally your phone number, your postal address, an age band, and your answers about your sport, the products you use now, what you spend, and any dietary requirements. Used to decide who goes on the panel, to post product to the people selected, and to make sense of the results. Dietary answers exist so I do not send someone food that will make them ill.

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, on servers outside New Zealand. Saying so plainly is a requirement rather than a courtesy: sending personal information overseas is governed by principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020. I also copy your answers into my own spreadsheets and email to work through them. Once orders are taken through the store, payment details are handled by the payment provider and never reach me.

Nobody. I do not sell it, share it with other companies, or use it for advertising. If you tell me I can quote you, I use your first name and your sport, never your address or contact details, and only if you have ticked the box saying I can.

Reservations and contact messages: for as long as the order or the conversation is live, then deleted within twelve months. Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe. Test panel: if you are not selected, deleted within three months of the panel closing; if you are, kept while you are testing and for two years afterwards so the results stay interpretable, then deleted.

You can ask for a copy of everything I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email alastair@powtrek.co.nz and I will sort it inside 20 working days, which is the limit the Privacy Act sets. You do not need to give a reason.

If I handle your information badly, tell me first and I will fix it. If that gets you nowhere, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing to opt out of. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.
